Women’s & Men’s Ministries

From monthly prayer breakfasts, to weekly Bible studies, to yearly retreats, there are a number of ways to get involved with the women’s and men’s ministries at Community.

Women’s Ministry

WOMEN’S MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT

In support of the mission and call of Community Evangelical Free Church as a whole, the women’s ministry exists to encourage women in their relationship with God and knowledge of his Word and to create a gospel-centered, authentic community of women who then reach out in missional living to others.

The primary focus of women’s ministry is bible studies, mentoring relationships, and events throughout the year.

Bible Studies:

Bible Studies are available every other Wednesday morning September through May, at 9:30 in the café (childcare is provided). Weeknight and Saturday morning studies are also available. For more information, please contact Susan Elder or Christy Gwinn

Women’s Mentoring Program:

The Women’s Mentoring Program at Community aims to help women in the church form mentoring relationships that run for six months at a time. This program is designed to be a spring board for those that are newer to the church or for those that just need some guidance in stepping into a more formalized mentoring relationship. For more information, click here.

Women’s Events

Women’s ministry holds events throughout the year.  The purpose of the events is to allow women to spend time in fellowship, to grow closer to each other and to God, and to support one another.  Our events are publicized in the bulletin, the church email, and on a Facebook page: “Community E Free Women.”

If you would like to hear more about these events, make a suggestion for an event, or be part of planning an event, please contact Christy or Susan. We would love to hear from you!

Men’s Ministry

Community Café

The Café is open all morning on Sundays. The informal atmosphere allows people to get to know each other over a hot drink and a light snack. You can learn about the ministries of our church and have a spirited discussion about what God is doing in your life. This is a great opportunity for fellowship.

If you would like to volunteer with the Café Ministry, email London Fregm.

Sunday School Hour

10:45 am in the Church Café
The purpose of Sunday School at Community Evangelical Free Church is to provide biblically faithful, practical, and gospel-centered teaching in an interactive and discussion-oriented format through which we can—in community—respectfully engage and wrestle with biblical truth. It’s our goal to provide a safe space for asking honest questions and sharing personal insights. Our prayer is that God would use this ministry to deepen our love for him and his Word while simultaneously growing our church’s passion for the gospel.
