Ministry Requests

Children’s Ministry

  • Pray for Stacie Lejcar, the director of Children’s Ministry, as she oversees the ministry.
  • Pray for the teachers & helpers as they teach and interact with the children each Sunday.
  • Pray that the children will be able to meet Jesus each week through the material presented and that they will see Jesus in the actions and lives of their teachers.

Youth Ministry

  • Pray for Blain as he leads the Youth Ministry of our church.  Pray that he understands and carries out his responsibilities in a way that pleases God and ignites the youth to love and serve God.
  • Pray for Dave & Teresa Anstatt, Scott Elder, Lukeman Harvey, Raya Barreca and Ranee Buck as they build relationships with the youth through Sunday school, large groups and small groups.
  • Pray for the parents of the youth to effectively communicate and teach God’s love to their kids.
  • Pray for the summer youth missions trips. The Jr. High trip will be from July 20th to 27th and the youth will be working with the Iglesia el Faro ministry in Lebanon, PA helping them establish and build lasting relationships with their neighbors.  The Sr. High had a very good missions experience in New Orleans and safe travels.  Thank you for your prayers for them.

Adult Ministry

  • Pray for John Heater, our Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries. Pray for him to have God’s wisdom in leading and helping the adult and small group ministries of the church.
  • Pray for our Small Group Ministry.  Pray that individuals in every small group will experience love and community, obtain a clearer understanding of God and His Word, discover their spiritual gifts and use them to minister for God from inside and outside our congregation.
  • Elsie Parker, the Women’s Ministry coordinator, requests prayer for women with a heart for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of other women to join the ministry.  Pray that the projects the Women’s Ministry team works on would always be what the Lord wants them to do.  Pray that relationships within the team itself would be strengthened.  Finally, pray that all they do would bring glory to God and that they would prove to be worthy vessels.
  • Pray for God to raise up godly leaders to be elders, deacons and deaconesses and small group leaders.

  • Pray for the pastor elders to have wisdom as they meet together to shepherd and minister to our church body.  Pray for them to love and protect their families and that God would put a hedge of protection around their homes.  Pray for clarity of vision, balance and the courage to do what is right; pray for a clear understanding of  God’s will and His Word.  Pray that God will give the elders wisdom as they seek to equip the church family for service in His Kingdom.
  • Crossroads ministry, for 19-29 yr. olds, that meets every Tuesday night.

Pray for:

§         Wisdom for Michelle Corsnitz and that she will model Christ’s love

§         That the young adults will mature in their faith and be more aware of God’s will for their lives

§         That they will be obedient to God’s call on their lives

Outreach Ministry

  • Praise for the Bilingual Outreach as we partner with Iglesia El Faro, a bilingual ministry in Lebanon, PA.  A small group meets in Harrisburg and a worship service is held at our church on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 2:30 p.m.  Pray that the people in Harrisburg who have been contacted will attend the service and small group and grow in their faith and that others from the community will come.  Pray for a clear vision for the leadership team as the ministry moves forward.
  • Community Café – Praise for the connections being made as people fellowship with each other over a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings.
  • Jane Delsordo gives praise for the PWAP executive team of Dave Anderson, Jack Culp, Greg Lyons and Deb Chronister. She requests prayer for people from our church family to continue to volunteer to help with the projects that came as a result of canvassing the Lawnton community and gives praise for those who have already volunteered.
