The worship and music ministry is a task group within the
church that functions by teaching, praying, learning, leading and serving.
On Thursday night practices we teach, pray, and practice collectively.
The worship team leads the congregation in worship on Sunday mornings and also
participates with the children’s and youth ministries.

The Worship Team
functions by:
Rehearsing collectively and
individually so that we play and sing professionally giving our absolute best
to God at all times
(I Corinthians 10:31, I Chronicles 15:22).
Choosing and performing music that
not only acts as thematic and theological support to the message but also is
cross generational and appeals to different genres and styles at appropriate
times
Ushering the congregation into
worship directing their focus solely on God and never on a single member of the
team or the team itself (Colossians 3:16)
Teaching and training a new
generation of musicians and lead worshipers that will bring thoughtful and
fresh ideas on styles, arrangements and other ways to serve the
congregation
Acting as a task group within the
church that functions through gathering, practicing, praying, teaching, and
serving
Most importantly
serving the church as we serve God on a daily basis knowing that our lives
outside of practice and performance are also characteristic of our ability to
be lead worshipers among the body
(I Corinthians 4:4)

We have many talented
singers and musicians but we are always looking for God to bring people who are
humble and willing to be used by God with their talents and abilities to the
worship team.
We also need people
to commit to praying daily for the team as we practice and serve.

The Upcoming Events include:

We have a large group
of people attending Worship God 09 in

The
worship team has recently begun a new ministry in which we are involved in
leading worship for Children’s Sunday school during the teaching hour.

We do have a need for
people who would like to be involved in what we call the “clicking ministry.”
This basically consists of clicking through the songs as well as the sermons
during the service. Almost anyone with a willing heart and opposable thumbs
would be able to be used in this ministry J

Key people involved are:
David Barreca –
Director of Music and Worship Ministries
Jamie Lamb –
Administrative Assistant for Music and Worship Ministries

Keep track of new updates
