Adult Ministries Spotlight

Our goal with adult ministries is to provide training and opportunities for adults to grow in Biblical relationships with God, others and self. We seek to accomplish this through Sunday Morning Electives, Small Groups throughout the week, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Seminars. If you have questions or concerns, contact John Heater at jheater@communityfreechurch.org.

Adult Electives (June 14 – July 26)

Filling in the Blanks: Redemptive History

Have you ever wanted to ask the Pastor a question in the middle of his sermon, but knew you had to wait, and once the sermon was over the line to talk with him was a mile long?  Then this class is for you!  The Pastor will be leading this class to answer questions and discuss in more detail what the sermon was covering.  If you attend the first hour, it will be a follow up to the sermon.  If you attend the second hour, it will be in preparation for the sermon.

Teacher: Pastor Kevin/Preacher of the week                    Location: Worship Center

        Exploring the Old Testament Covenants

Throughout Redemptive History our personal Triune God has related with His people by way of covenant.  This class will look at what a covenant is and then look at the biblical covenants found in the Old Testament starting with the covenant to Adam and ending with the second Adam, Jesus Christ.

Teacher:  Mike Aiken                              Location:  Church building – upstairs in Rm. 301

Conversations: a time of guided prayer

God has made it clear in Scripture that He wants His people to pray and He has promised that whenever there are two or three gathered in His name that He is there in a special way.  He has also promised us that whatever we pray for in His name, according to His will, He will do.  As a church body we want prayer to become one of our defining features.  Come join others in a time of guided prayer as we pray for a different ministry in our church each week in detail, and for our leaders, and for our community.

Facilitator:  Greg Lyons                          Location:   Conference Room in Derry Street Building
