Sermon:   Are You Prepared? (Matthew 25:1-13)                    Theme:          Christ-Follower or Poser?

Overall impressions:

1.      What stood out to you in the message this week?  How would it look for you apply it?

2.      Did you disagree with or question anything that was said?  If so, what?

3.      Was there anything said that was new to you?  If so, what and what did you think about it?

Discussing the specifics:

1.      Kevin’s message today was about being prepared.  Being prepared for what?

2.      What does being prepared look like and how do we do it?

3.      Which aspects of my life are specifically affected when I am prepared and which aspects drive the other aspects?  Another way of asking this question is what makes a prepared person’s life different from an unprepared person’s life when what they do is seemingly identical?

4.      The Bible tells us that when we put our trust in Christ alone for salvation that we receive eternal life (John 3:16).  When does eternal life begin for us?  Define eternal life.  How is it possible for us to have eternal life – I can imagine living forever, i.e. having no end, because I have not died yet; but I have a beginning, I have a birthdate.  How is it possible for me to have eternal life?  Contrast Eternal Life with Everlasting Death.

5.      Many people think they are going to heaven, that they are saved, that they are prepared.  How can a person know for sure that they are prepared?

So What?!? – Are you prepared?  Based on what we discussed tonight – how will my life be different this week?  Be specific.
