We believe that both worship and music are important yet not synonymous. We believe that God commands us to sing praises to him (e.g. Psalm 96). Furthermore, we are convinced that God’s gospel initiative compels us to worship; in fact, it’s the appropriate and righteous response to Jesus Christ’s redemptive work.
Consequently, when we meet on Sunday mornings, the time we spend singing God’s praises is not for entertainment, nor is it designed to impress God (which we are incapable of doing). Instead, our goal is to allow God’s word to direct us as we sing his truths ever deeper into our hearts and ever further into his creation. In short, it is our hope and prayer that our musical worship might both edify the Church and glorify God.
