The Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers at Community Evangelical Free Church are delighted to have you and your family participate in our children’s ministry program. Our mission is to support the family in developing a spiritual foundation that will lead a child into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our desire is to create a nurturing, loving environment where children have the opportunity to build a relationship with God through Biblically sound teaching and the interaction with adults who model Christ to the children. We believe that this will help develop a child into a growing disciple of Christ.
All of our volunteers have had background checks and have been cleared to work with children.
During this time of transition for our church some changes have been made to what is offered for children:
During the worship service at 10 am childcare for newborns to 2 & 3 yrs. old is available.
For those with children age 4 through kindergarten we offer Children’s Church during the sermon portion of the service. Children will be dismissed before the start of the sermon and brought back to their parents during the closing song.
Children who are in 1st – 5th grades stay in the auditorium with their family. “Busy Bags” are available on a table in the lobby for your children to use. These have activity books and crayons in them and are to be returned when the service concludes. Yellow children’s bulletins are also on the table in the lobby and are appropriate for younger elementary children.
