Blain Buck

Youth Ministry Director

Born in northeast Pennsylvania, Blain was raised in a small farming community where he lived until the age of eighteen. His family attended a small country church where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized.

Blain graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania with an Associates degree in Landscaping. He then returned to his hometown, where he met his future wife, Ranee. He then moved to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to pursue a career. Through a course of events he became established in a good Bible teaching church where he served as a volunteer with the youth program for 3 years. After moving in 2001, he searched for a Harrisburg Church where he would feel at home. When he found Community Evangelical Free Church, he became established by serving as a volunteer in the youth program and as an adult small group leader. In 2005, Blain began to respond to a calling he felt God had laid on his heart to pursue youth ministry. He enrolled at Lancaster Bible College as a part time student in the Youth Ministry program where he is still attending. In 2006, God confirmed the call and opened the door at Community Evangelical Free Church for him to become the part time Youth Director. He served in the part time role for 2 years before taking the full time position as the church’s Youth Director.

Blain has been married to Ranee since 2002 and they have two boys, Matthew and David. In his spare time, Blain enjoys playing volleyball, golf, and football. He is an avid Penn State football fan, and also enjoys watching baseball and good action movies.
