The Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers at Community Evangelical Free Church are delighted to have you and your family participate in our children’s ministry program.

Our mission is to support the family in developing a spiritual foundation that will lead a child into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our desire is to create a nurturing, loving environment where children have the opportunity to build a relationship with God through Biblically sound teaching and the interaction with adults who model Christ to the children.  We believe that this will help develop a child into a growing disciple of Christ.

Nursery
Our Nurseries serve children from newborn to 23 months. We believe that your child is a special gift from God and so we strive to provide the best and safest care possible. Upon signing in you will receive a numbered tag which must be returned when picking up your child. Children will only be released to an adult with the correct tag. Our Nursery is a Volunteer co-op. If your child is regularly in the Nursery, you are asked to serve in the Nursery one service per month.

Pre-school
Our Pre-school is for children ages 2 through 4 years old. Childcare is offered for children ages 2 & 3 years old during the 8:30a.m. worship service. Sunday School is offered for children ages 2 through 4 years of age during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School hour. There is an additional Sunday School class for children ages 2 & 3 years old during the 11:00 a.m. worship service.. Each class is led by a teacher who loves Christ and shows that love to each child.

Elementary

Sunday School is offered at 9:45 a.m. and is a time for your Kindergarten through 5th grade child to develop a relationship with Christ, their adult small group shepherd and their peers.

For children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, this is done through a Bible lesson presentation and a small group time with their shepherd and other children their age. In the small group, your child will be
encouraged to apply Biblical truths, pray
together and share how God is helping them make godly choices.

Wednesday Night Ministries

Christian Service Brigade

Christian Service Brigade, a mid-week discipleship program for boys, is held every Wednesday evening during the school year.  Boys and their dads come together for a time of games, crafts, Scripture memorization and stories.  Christian Service Brigade encourages father-son relationships as boys are guided by their fathers into Biblical manhood.  This program is designed for age 4 through 5^th grade. 

G.E.M.S. (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior)

 G.E.M.S. is  a mid-week discipleship program for girls and held every Wednesday evening during the school year.  Girls and their moms come together for a time of games, crafts, Scripture memorization and stories.  G.E.M.S encourages mother-daughter relationships as girls are introduced to Christ, discipled in the faith, and mentored to develop a positive female Christian identity.  The program is designed for age 4 through 5^th grade.
