Partnering With A Purpose
was born out of a desire to extend the outreach of Community Free Church
through simple acts of love and kindness.
The mission of this ministry is to scatter seeds in the community. It
has begun as an outreach to Lawnton Elementary School, partnering with
the school to identify children and families that have basic needs that
can be met by the church. From having dinners for custodial
employees and support staff to providing Thanksgiving dinner to families
in the community, Partnering With A Purpose's ultimate goal is to
touch the lives of everyone in this community through simple, low-risk,
high-reward acts of service.
With God leading the way there is no end to the lives that can be
touched and changed by Jesus Christ.

The Tutoring
Program at Lawnton Elementary School has been a very rewarding
opportunity to reach out to the families of children attending classes
from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Following school, we go over to the
school and pick up the children that are participating in the program
and walk them to our building. We feed them a snack and then spend time
helping them with their homework and whatever the teacher has included
in their packet that needs to be worked on. We also do fun stuff with
them like foosball and going outside to use sidewalk chalk.

I think I get it!

Just one more question

Along with tutoring the children, we have started to
have meals for the families of the children twice a month. We can get to
know the families and spend time with them in a laid back setting, while
also helping to alleviate some stress their hectic day as we provide
them with a nice evening meal.

So we could keep in touch over the summer, we hosted a tutoring families'
game night. The kids had a blast!
